MOBERLY, Mo. — Authorities in Moberly are announcing an arrest.

Officers report that a tip was given on the whereabouts of Jack Cox, who was wanted on two active Randolph County warrants. Police arrived at a local business and made contact with Cox, who was exiting.

Cox was placed under arrest for two counts of failure to obey a judge’s order with bond totaling $50,000. During a search of his person, officers located drug paraphernalia related to methamphetamine use.

Cox was unable to post bond and was transported to the Randolph County Jail. Authorities accuse Cox and a second male of stealing groceries from the business just prior to officers’arrival.

Additional charges of stealing and possession of drug paraphernalia are being forwarded to the Randolph County Prosecutor for formal filing.
