Police arrest driver of errant vehicle at Chiefs parade

KANSAS CITY, MO – During preparations for the Chiefs parade in Kansas City Wednesday, police say a vehicle broke through the parade barrier just after 8 a.m.

Clay County deputies disabled the vehicle with spike strips. The car continued south turning at Pershing, headed for the crowd, according to police. Police cars then intervened to block and stop the vehicle.

Two suspects are in custody. The driver is under investigation for impairment. No injuries were reported.
