CHILLICOTHE, MO – Chillicothe officers say they had to break into a vehicle to make an arrest Thursday night during a traffic stop.
Police made the stop in the 1000 block of Washington, where a vehicle, allegedly, did not have proper lighting. Officers also believed the driver was without a license. After the subject refused to exit the vehicle, officers broke the driver’s side window, taking the driver into custody.
Narcotics and paraphernalia were confiscated from the vehicle, as well as a reportedly stolen firearm.
The suspect was incarcerated at Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on informal charges of drug and weapons possession, and resisting arrest.
A relative of the driver was released, and cited for causing a disturbance.
