CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in Utica hiding in an unusual place.
According to Sheriff Steve Cox, law enforcement conducted a fugitive investigation in Utica and attempted to arrest an adult male who would not come outside of a home and caused the entry ways and door locks to be blocked and tampered with.
Police made entry and found 35-year-old Dustin Lee Ritchie hiding inside a dryer unit.
He is arrested on a warrant for alleged trespassing and a Missouri parole warrant for an original drug offense violation. The warrant stems from driving on private property during recent historic flood earlier this year. He could also face an additional resisting arrest charge and is being transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Jail and will see the judge this week before being returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
