LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO – During a confined docket hearing Tuesday, a St. Joseph man charged in Livingston County was denied a change in bond.
The Livingston County Sheriff responded near Mooresville, July 13, taking into custody, Matthew Aaron Case, 29, who had failed to appear at a hearing for motor vehicle tampering. Deputies apprehended Case after a foot chase, and brief armed confrontation. They seized a handgun and methamphetamine.
The Sheriff said Friday new charges were filed in relation to that incident, including resisting arrest, unlawful firearms possession, and armed criminal action. A hearing Tuesday denied a change in bond for Case, citing a credible threat to law enforcement. He is held without bond.
A future court date is set for August 22.
