CHARITON COUNTY, Mo – Missouri court records show a warrant has been issued to a Brunswick woman over child abuse charges and violation of a child protection order.
According to the records 37 year-old Stacey Morehead was taken into custody on a warrant for multiple charges in Chariton County Tuesday, August 2, 2016. A probable cause statement shows Morehead went to a residence where her daughter was staying, and allegedly hit the girl in the leg. The officer on scene asked Morehead if there was a no contact order in place between her and her daughter, which Morehead confirmed. DFS later arrived on the scene and the juvenile daughter was removed from the home.
A warrant was issued for Morehead, and was then taken into custody at the Chariton County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond. Court dates have not yet been set.
