Multiple accusations for Gallatin man following Daviess County wreck

DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. — A resident of Gallatin is behind bars in Daviess County after a non-injury crash Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, Justin J. Rainey, 25, the arrest took place around 10:39 a.m. Saturday.

Rainey was preliminarily charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated by drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and driving without valid insurance.

Rainey was taken to the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold. Formal charges are currently pending.
