TIPTON, MO – A driver from Sedalia was arrested Tuesday during a vehicle stop in Moniteau County.
Deputies stopped a vehicle with no front license plate, driven by Cody Edgar, 20. According to the sheriff’s office, Edgar was unable to answer questions, and behaved nervously. He denied a search of his vehicle before a K-9 unit was deployed which alerted deputies to possible drugs in the vehicle. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia were found and seized.
Edgar was detained at Moniteau County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. Court records Wednesday indicate a formal felony charge of controlled substance possession after a warrant was obtained.
