LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — An Independence driver is facing possible charges after crashing his vehicle in Lafayette County around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
A Missouri Highway Patrol crash report describes how Mark A. Conn, 26 traveled off the right side of Interstate 70 near the 80 mile marker east of Concordia around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The report also says Conn was not wearing a seat belt when his eastbound vehicle struck a utility pole.
Conn, who is hospitalized with moderate injuries, is accused of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, driving while revoked, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.
He was released to I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs for treatment of his injuries.
