BATES COUNTY, Mo.- A Butler, Mo., man was apprehended by Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol late Monday night in Bates County following a traffic stop in which drugs were allegedly seized.
According to the filed arrest report, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Robert Gabriel, 40, was stopped for not having a rear license plate lamp. Upon further investigation, Gabriel was found to be in alleged possession of THC, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Gabriel, who has a misdemeanor warrant out of Bates County, is now facing charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked and failure to equip motor vehicle with rear license lamp.
He was transported to the Bates County Jail with the option to post bond in the matter.
