Two residents of Marceline were arrested Wednesday , July 11, for illegal possession of drugs near a school.
Officers with Marceline Police obtained and executed a search warrant at 123 South Kansas Street where evidence of a marijuana growing operation was seized. Police confiscated several plants and seeds at the residence, and also secured proof of residence for two individuals arrested on the charges. Kimberly Sanders, and Bryce Hall-Wallace were charged with manufacture of a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school. The apartments are located near Father McCartan Memorial School.
Bond amount was set for each suspect at $10,000 cash or surety.
