COLUMBIA, MO – A Columbia man was charged in federal court today for illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Clark Lane last night to reports of shots fired. Police located 23 year old Deangelo Wayne Joe Jr. who fled into nearby apartments. After a 30-minute standoff, Joe exited the building and was arrested. Stolen firearms, including a handgun and rifle, were found inside the apartment. Joe Jr. also has prior convictions for burglary.
