MACON COUNTY, Mo. — A driver from Macon was hurt and is facing possible charges after an accident in Macon County Tuesday.
According to a crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Lake Street, about a mile north of Macon at approximately 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.
A pick-up truck driven by 38-year-old Crystal G. Flowers-Kitts was westbound on Lake Street when the vehicle began to slide off the side of the roadway, sending it down an embankment.
The truck the rolled over back onto the roadway, where it came to rest.
Flowers-Kitts was moderately injured in the crash and was treated at Samaritan Hospital.
She faces preliminary charges for allegedly driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
