SPRINGFIELD, MO – One of two Mexican nationals was sentenced Wednesday for drug possession and attempted distribution after they were stopped in southern Missouri.
Federal prosecutors said Wednesday, Adriana Gutierrez-Ramirez was sentenced to 10 years and one month in prison without parole. Gutierrez-Ramirez conscripted Luis Duarte to drive a truck from Arizona to Ohio. The truck was stopped by Missouri State Troopers February last year, in Strafford, Missouri. They reportedly confiscated over 5,000 grams of cocaine from the vehicle.
